Actually, I don't think it's appropriate for sponsors or anybody else, to set up shill accounts in the first place. If you suspect that a sponsor is doing this, please PM me the sponsor username and the shill username(s) so I can deal with the problem. Thanks for the feedback.

In light of the fact that the threads of ignored users are no longer visible on forum index pages, I think that simply putting these people on your ignore list will now be an easy way to avoid getting annoyed by their posts.

I had that idea in the past but came to the conclusion that it was redundant because the number of replies/views are already adequate indicators of interest in a thread. I compared the number of subscribed users to the number of replies/views for a group of threads and found that all of those...

This feature has now been implemented. Threads from users on your ignore list will no longer appear in the thread list for a given forum, or on the forum index page either. Thanks for the suggestion. :)

Because threads started for the sole purpose of degrading another member are inappropriate.

The log rolls over to the next day at midnight, and if there's no posts yet, the log'll be non-existent.

We occasionally merge threads but in the case of the timmay book threads, I just deleted several of them, as I don't see the point of having that many, especially when then have similar posts.

The new forum has now been implemented. I named it a slightly more generic "Trade Management" to encompass a broader range of topics like money management, risk management, portfolio sizing and diversification, etc. Thanks so much for the suggestion.

Yeah, I suppose it could be done but the reason it works like it does is because the thread that the ignored person starts may contain insightful responses from people you think are good posters.

If the post is clearly out-of-bounds, then we would do something about it on the first complaint. But if the post is simply controversial in some way, then we will see if any other complaints come in before we do anything.
