If you are a visual trader use 14 ADX as a trend identifier . Start on 30min chart and go down to 10, 5, 1 min . It should be clearer that way . It is always a good idea to look at higher time frame first so you see a bigger picture. Walter

Hoodooman, I change time frames according to a market situation but most of the time I use 15 min charts for a trend direction and 2 min charts for entries. For daytrading, of course . If I want to hold for a couple of days I use 30 min and 5 min respectively. Should you care to post...

When used properly, divergences should not be traded against longer time frame trend . You look for a trend change on 1 min but take trade only in direction of a 5 min trend . Which means you are trading with the trend, not against it. Walter

Given your obviously limited cranial capacity, I would suggest that you use simple wersion of " Trading Windows Strategy " which is " Eating with a spoon, not with your fingers " strategy .

You have to test all components separately and when they do 70% or better, you put them together and test by simulated trading . You do not need split second calls, if your timing system is good, you know, I mean, you really know when you will be trading, ahead of time . Walter
