Almost 8 months day trading and down $1,400. Besides quitting drugs and alchohol, this is the hardest thing I have ever done. I have a plan to keep me going financially through Jan 2005, so I am confident I can last until I reach profitability. Good Luck, and prepare for the worst.

I modified my strategy to take advantage of the ES tick increment by using limit orders instead of stop orders (I still use stop loss orders for losing positions). So far so good.

I have 2 Dell Ultra sharp 19' with a RADEON 9000 series adapter. One moniter uses the Analog input and the other uses the Digital. To me, there is no difference in picture quality between the 2 monitors.

If you risk .5% per trade and you are down 2%, I don't see a problem. That is only 4 losers in a row. I definitely agree with the previous post regarding becomming profitable on paper before going live. It's common sense to me.

You won't gain the extra tick from a stop limit order and you might not get out of a losing trade if the market is fast because of the limit component.
