I bought 2 gold micro futures (Feb contract) and will add to my position as we move up. If we sell off from here I will exit for a small loss.

SIM....lol. Why the hell would I waste my time with SIM. With micros you can dial in position size nicely. My strategy sizes positions based on an ATR based stop, where position size is determined according to distance from entry to stop...risking no more than 1.5% of account equity per trade.

I showed you my actual trade that is happening in real time. Not trying to get nasty, but there is money to be made in the overnight session...so rather than raging against Rickshaw Man, figure it out and make some money. Happy trading!

Quit your whining and make some profits. The money is there....you just have to reach down and pick it up off the ground.

You are better off coming up with a trading approach, studying and implementing it...rather than asking for advice on a particular trade.

You would be shorting against a strong overall uptrend. Could work out but why go against the direction of the market? Looking at those two charts I would be looking for a way to get long....but that is what makes a market :)

For the past few years I have mostly been algo trading one futures contract (MES). As I get into discretionary stock trading my focus is on setups that can occur on any number of stocks. My focus is to master the setup and its variations which will mean more opportunities to trade.
