If you are seeking to capture a big move, one option is to scale into your position where 1/3 of your position could happen before breakout, 1/3 at break out and 1/3 as it continues in your favor. Since you are starting with a smaller position, your stop could be wider.

Same here. There is no substitute for placing real money trades. I also find the various "interview with traders" YouTube channels helpful. Some show trade examples with charts.

FWIW, I do something very similar trading Micro E-Minis S&P on the daily time frame and it is quite profitable.
