I like Ninja Trader v 7 since it has the indicators that i use. However, you still need to determine stops based on PA. For example, right now price is moving more due to high volatility so stops need to be further back.

Here is the trade report for last night and today.

One thing I am happy about is that I forced myself to trade more today since PA was good since it's hard to risk losing profit on the day. My mistakes have been when I am down for the day to trade more. Also, I was only doing 1 contract trades since market moving so much.

Yep I actually trade at night then get up late in the morning, and trade some more. I was not even awake during most of the price movement. If I knew market was going to fall this much obviously, I would have shorted last night with no stop and target. Most days you don't get big movements...

Did some good scalps today, maybe one day I will be able to make a longer term trade, but price moves too fast today to post any of my trades on a shorter term time chart.

I find it helps not to keep looking at the screen during a trade. If you have a target and stop, then you can do something else for awhile, then look back. Also, I sometimes have a 2nd entry set to a little before the stop which can sometimes help you average into a trade rather than putting...

Sorry you are incorrect, he closes the position to roll to new month. You don't have a clear understanding of that. Also, changes in policy change the TA. So if on a longer term chart support has not been breached then he has been right and profitable over the long term with his strategy...

I also have longer period EMA's. I never used SMA before reading this thread. The benefit of the SMA is allowing in real time to see a trend change. Obviously, you can't do this on stocks but on futures you could see a trade setup or a confirmation.

How do you determine that is resistance there. I usually have NT create a permanent line on at prices where the market has failed to break through and fallen back down. Then if market has not gone there for awhile they could act as targets for a long or places to short if market respects them...

I see the benefit of using the same number for the SMA and the EMA to at certain times see how trend is changing and to stay on the right side of the current trend for a trade setup.

Well target was hit, I did not get to add anymore contracts. I am thinking with these moves I need to just do multiple contracts at the start and not try to add later.

I am reversing to long and adding contracts if trade goes against me, targeting highs.
