Need a program for a breakout trading method

I will let you know if I can think of anything else. Can you send me the code, and let me know if it works for example in tradestation, and/or what program I can put it in. Also, did it back test in prior years positively also? I may have a few more suggestions, but don't want to give my...

Need a program for a breakout trading method

Change the code, to not trade on Fridays. Also, set it to trade both long or short. Finally, set it to not trade on low volume and only when advances outnumber declines by a certain % for longs and reverse for shorts. If this works, please send me a copy of the code.

How long to stay with a winning trade

Let's say I put some of my capital to long shot stocks for example those waiting FDA approval. Let's say one of them gets approval and the stock goes up. How long do these stocks usually stay with a long term upward trend, or is it just better to hold them for a few years after the event...

Murray new S&P500 and T-Bond Systems

Do these systems use stops? If it hits a logic error will it keep making the same mistake and blow out your account? Do the results include fees and slipage? Do the systems enter in on limit or market orders? Does the backtest take into account that limit orders can easily be filled on...

    FOREX Vs STOCKS

Problem with forex vs stocks, is that if you go long a stock, you know it can't go below zero and you can only do 50% margin. A fast moving forex market can go 1000 pips against you.

    Sold the rally

What do you think of LVS? Do you think it will survive? I was thinking of investing in it, but don't want to put money in if they are going under.

    Sold the rally

So far this was a good strategy since the market is down over 400 points, after I posted what I was doing. However, I should have also either bought puts or DOG. Anyway, now we will wait to see if the market falls to 8500 and/or some stocks that I have been watching retest their bottoms so...

    Sold the rally

Well, we will see if Cramer is finally right. I sold the rally today, got off margin and raised cash. If the DOW heads back down to around 8000, I will buy back what I sold plus go back on margin. Please note this does not mean I sold all my stocks, I have kept a bunch of dividend paying...

    5% - 10% profit per day trading

It is amazing how Ebay screwed up by changing feedback to try to be another Amazon, when they had something perfect until they kept messing with it including raising fees on the sellers. Were you selling out of Spain? Anyway, continued success on your trading.

    Over 5% dividend stocks better?

Do stocks that pay a dividend have more value than a stock does not pay a dividend?

    Do Trendlines work?

Trend lines do work as one of your tools to determine the probabilities of price action. If you look at MS, you could see where the previous trend was bullish and there were places where you could have gotten long. Then the trend changed, and you could have sold the stock short. If you...

    Geez - TF in 400s ??

This month has been good so far for me and I pay employees, rent and expense. I am probably doing better than anyone who has most of their money in a 401k. The stock market does not always reflect reality. Even today, with another 400 or so drop, people were still coming into our store...

    Price Action Journal V1.5

I just don't see why you took the trades that you did. I would not have taken any of them. Let's look at your last trade. Before you took your last trade, I see the market keep trying to make a lower low, and then bouncing back but again trading within a range. Also, the bars are very...

Seeking Mentor - Will to pay right mentor Looking for real deal

Not really, its just because you can not trade and are a scammer that you don't want to produce your broker statement. I made $ 6,000 today. I would be more than happy to produce my broker statement if I wanted to mentor someone which I don't. I see no reason to teach someone that I don't...

    why companies don't buy back?

Finally, a very good question. A ban on naked short selling is NOT designed to protect BAD companies from going out of business. It is to protect good companies with real assets from going out of business. Why did FRE and FNM go to 20 cents from $ 20? It is because as Buffet noted they...

    why companies don't buy back?

Lets assume that a company has 100 million shares outstanding. Say 70% are owned by insiders and institutions. So we now have a 30 million float that is owned by the public. Legal shorting occurs when brokers loan out shares that are not in cash accounts for the shorts to make a...
