    Hey America, Take a vacation!

A two-room house at the Matunga labour camp on Dharavi's 60-feet Road, for instance, can cost up to Rs 40 lakh, say local brokers. Ajay Kanchikurve purchased a 200-sq-ft tenement in the neighbourhood a few years ago for Rs 13 lakh and built a floor over it. He claims that today his "well-furnish...

    Hey America, Take a vacation!

i agree that there is that minimum economic threshold that needs to be met in order to be happy in life. However, the human spirit to survive and get used to one's surroundings is also a key factor. People get used to their surroundings and compare their own situations with others of the same...

    Hey America, Take a vacation!

very true, I was born in India but grew up in the west. I asked my father once on how people in the slums could ever be happy as they work manual labor in the indian heat and have nothing to show for it. He stated that people compare their situation with others of similar background thus many...

    PIIGS are a sure toast

the citizens of western nations will have to cut back on their lifestyles. I think things will slowly transform a lot of first world nations into second world nations. This will perhaps be something like Argentina over the past 50 years or so.

    newbie question---low volume options

thank you for your reply and information. I dont know why there is such a huge difference between the bid/ask on low volume options if the value of the option depends on the price of the stock and time to expiration. Maybe for a newbie its better to just stick with the large volume options.
