Yes, probably more correct term, forgive me my poor English. But the idea is quantifiable, objectively defined edge vs. art of pattern recognition aka tape reading aka chart reading. Both are real IMO, just one is easy to quantify and replicate (given the infrastructure is at our disposal)...

Seems that you confuse "mechanical" with "real". Did Tiger Woods have an edge over his competitors? Certainly did. But was it replicable? Doubt it. Does it make his edge "not real"? Certainly not. I also exploited mechanical edge myself with one binary option broker back in 2005/6. But...
