For You PC Power Jockeys... Dell Precision T3400

For what it's worth, the refurbished Dell machines are less than 21-days old. As for your concerns about the hard drive being "very old" I would suggest that there aren't many trading software applications that are written with high demands of the hard-drive.

Recommended AGP 4x/8x vid card setup to run 3 DVI LCD's?

People usually run a third monitor via a graphics card that goes into one of your PCI-slots. For example, I have a GeForce MX440 PCI slot card that accompanies my dual-output GeForce MX440 AGP card in my old trusty Dell Dimension 8300. You can then fine tune your monitors and what they...

March Fed Funds Rate: 2.50%, Thanks Bernanke

Given the MAGNITUDE of the crisis in the banking system right now with the money-center banks, I would say that no one really gives a damn about inflation. In fact, why would anyone care about inflation if GDP was running into the negatives for several quarters in a row because the Fed is...

    Can You Feel It?

I would tend to agree. The local 10PM news last night was the most BEARISH I have seen it in quite some time, citing job layoffs at Safeway, consumers cutting back spending, etc. There is a "measured-move" in the works that certainly argues for higher SPX targets. You can find it on the...

    eSignal lag on ES

I would tend to agree with the above poster that this has been going on for years . . . and every single time that subscribers notice such a "lag" they are told by E-Signal Customer Service and Technical Support that E-Signal "is in the process of upgrading their servers to give traders better...

Fed's Kohn on Crack. See's Inflation Moderating

Given your above "position" that a recession is needed to correct commodity prices, I take it that you also advocate state, local, and federal government running large deficits? Cause that is what you will get from your advocacy of "engineering" a recession in order to correct commodity prices.

Fed's Kohn on Crack. See's Inflation Moderating

You are much too late in your thinking. I was short the money-center banks and the homebuilders in early 2006 and continued shorting them all throughout 2007. Covered most of my homebuilder shorts in Q4 of last year, and more recently, I covered my shorts in the banks last month. Did you...

For You PC Power Jockeys... Dell Precision T3400

I came across this on Monday of this week on the Dell Business Outlet ( refurbished ) website: * Precision Workstation T3400 Mini-Tower: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 (2.66GHz/1333MHz/4MB L2) 375Watt PSU * Genuine Windows XP x64 Professional System Price : $699.00 Operating System...

Building My Trading Rig (A Documentary)

Not to "hi-jack" the thread or anything but I did happen to come across this Dell T3400 Precision unit on the Business Outlet site on Monday . . . * Precision Workstation T3400 Mini-Tower: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 (2.66GHz/1333MHz/4MB L2) 375W * Genuine Windows XP x64 Professional...

Fed's Kohn on Crack. See's Inflation Moderating

I knew that it was only a matter of time when your Ego felt the need to resort to personal "attacks". Very typical. Again, you might actually lend some support to your claim about the FED having the "spigot" FULL ON if you were to provide some charts of the Money Supply. But leave it to...

    Your kidding, right?

Fed's Kohn on Crack. See's Inflation Moderating

Right now, it is the ONLY side of the equation for the simple fact of the MAGNITUDE of what is occurring with the incredible DEFLATIONARY forces that are currently inherent in the U.S. commercial banking system. Many of the posters here on this thread seem to simply "write-off" and discount...

Fed's Kohn on Crack. See's Inflation Moderating

Yet another poster that cannot tell me why Fed Funds are still trading at such a "high" rate relative to the yield on the 2-year Treasury Note.

Fed's Kohn on Crack. See's Inflation Moderating

The DEFLATIONARY "forces" that are inherent in the current banking system. Do you not have any clue as to how all sorts of paper is being DEVALUED? Just because interest rates have been lowered by the FED, does not automatically mean that Banks will go out lending money and helping to...

Look what you did to real estate? Doing the same to market

Tell us something . . . how much is BARON paying you for these absolutely absurd posts that have nothing to do with TRADING? Is BARON that desperate to keep up the "activity" on his website? Are potential advertising dollars going down the tubes on ET because this website has become a...

    Gasparino Strikes Again!

At the very least, the SPX is making a "measured-move" to 1440 SPX. That is where this"C" wave will equal the last "A" wave. Fibonacci multiples could even take you as high as 1490 and 1520 SPX and still be in a "corrective" structure. See chart. :)

    Ewj: elliott wave

    Just something to think about in this A-B-C X A-B-C configuration . . . C=A at around 1440 SPX ( measured-move ) C= 1.382(A) at 1490 SPX C= 1.618(A) at 1520 :)

Shorting is extremely risky in this market- losses, losses, losses

I didn't even have to open up the thread and I already knew who started it..... None other than the "one-way" BLOWHARD. :D

    Slaughter at the close..

What a surprise. Yet another absurd post in the "Trading Forum" coming from someone that obviously plays on the Internet in between their college classes and doesn't trade for a living. Shocker.

Fed's Kohn on Crack. See's Inflation Moderating

You assert that the "biggest aspect of inflation is the speculative hedging against inflation" yet you fail to even address what is going on in China as far as end user DEMAND . . . "Shanghai is in the process of building a super Greater Shanghai connecting cities within 300KM radius. The...
