The problem with DTN is that they DO NOT support NYSE and AMEX Nasdaq Level-2 quotes. To me, that's just plain unacceptable.

This happened with me when I last used E-Signal about 4 years ago. For some bizarre reason, there was a ton of latency in their charts and they could never figure it out . . . I must have spent something like 20 hours helping them troubleshoot this over a 2 week period, but it didn't matter...

Most TRADERS that I know who trade "technically" for a living would have been ALL over this move to the upside today. I'm sorry to hear that you were unable to pull the "trigger". Must be a bummer to be frozen like a "Deer in Headllghts" and not be able to capitalize off of a 400 point move...

Excellent point! But there are obviously people that are always looking for REASONS and RATIONALIZING MARKET BEHAVIOR so that it fits their particular bias . . . You see that ALL the time here on ET. That's what makes ET a tremendous sentiment indicator, to the contrary! :)

For what it's worth, DTN "IQ Feed" doesn't even support Level-2 for NYSE and AMEX. That to me, is just a total joke.

It's the same as the standard Bloomberg service. $1800 per month. You just get to use it like PC "Anywhere", home, office, etc.

I'm not a big fan of E-Sig but I would be hard pressed to say that they don't get their quote data directly from the exchange. That sounds absurd.

For what it's worth, that current platform from Future Trade gets its data-feed from ESignal, of ALL places!

Excellent point! But for the "Perma-Bears" on ET that believe in all sorts of conspiracy theories, they simply have no time to look at what the Ted-Spread is telling them. If some of these guys actually TRADED for a living, their accounts would most likely be "blown-up" within two or three...
