Is Helicopter Ben Naked? Read Tomorrow's News Today

Given that you (admittedly) do not even know how to obtain GLOBEX quotes in the ES via the Internet, I'd say that you are just another college kid playing on the Internet who likes to hear themselves talk. http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=125898&perpage=6&pagenumber=7...

Is Helicopter Ben Naked? Read Tomorrow's News Today

Now why would you go and sell-off part of your position in "SMN" when it not only took out last week's highs at 33.74, but closed above them AND the 21-day MA after making a higher low on April 25th? You obviously are not a technician.

Is Helicopter Ben Naked? Read Tomorrow's News Today

You could use a course in reading comprehension. I was clearly responding to option #2 by the poster that I was quoting. No cut = dollar surge = rally in equities ( just like Mr. Dodge stated ).

    C dilution alert AH

What are you talking about . . . they sold $6 BILLION in preferred stock barely a week ago! You obviously don't trade for a living. This must be some sort of a "hobby" for you in between your college classes or something...

Is Helicopter Ben Naked? Read Tomorrow's News Today

You are incredibly naive and obviously lack much historical market perspective. Mr. Dodge is correct. No cut will cause the dollar to surge, crude to tank, and stocks to rally. And for those of you that have been charting the FXE lately, you can already see the marketplace starting to...

    How profound.

The Importance of the 1400 level on the SPX

I guess you already missed the CATALYST that took the SPX up 135 handles from the lows, and the IWM +12.5% off the lows. And yet you're still looking for THAT all-elusive catalyst . . . :D :D :D

Is Oil at the top of Mount PricevsTime?

He has no clue. My guess is he doesn't even know what the name of Goldman's oil trading unit . . . Just another "kid" using ET to play on the Internet until his parents get home from work.

The Importance of the 1400 level on the SPX

I am puzzled why so many people on ET ( and this thread ) believe that SPX 1400 is of any real significance. Surely there aren't many technicians on ET, because if there actually were, we would not see such a thread even generate such "aggreement" in regards to the 1400 level. The last time I...

    Dell Vostro's for Trading

No Dell "love-in" as you state. I was simply responding to a previous poster's claim that I perceived as "absurd", given my own personal experience with several Dell computers, including a recently purchased T3400 Precision Workstation. And just as Chevrolet builds everything from...

    OIH Hits Objective

OIH breaking hard today and now sitting on top of the 21-DAY MA. My guess is that we should easily see a 38.2% retracement of the rally up from the late March lows in the 160 handle, which would target the 190 handle; which coincidentally will be where the 40-DAY MA comes through later this...

    Airline stocks

So let me get this straight . . . You aren't interested in participating from the long side when the SPX rallies 10.5% and the IWM over 12% off of the March lows, because you feel that such a move is simply "sideways" . . . but you jump up and down all over a 5% move in AMR? You don't...

Dell Vostro... 4-Monitor... Quad or 2 Dualheads... Anybody Using?

I have not found anyone here at ET that has had any (personal) success with installing a second PCI slot graphics card in order to support a 3rd or 4th monitor. There was someone who claims to have done so, but he obviously was not experienced enough to know what kind of configuration was done...

    Dell Vostro's for Trading

This is a most absurd post. The Dell Precision workstations are NOT lacking in "quality" internals. I should know . . . I own one. Furthermore, the 3-year warranty is indicative of a company that already knows that it is a "durable" machine. Just think about that for a moment. Hell, my 5...

Dell Vostro Quad Core, XP, 2G RAM + 20" LCD.. $599

That's a great rig that you ordered. TOTAL OVERKILL, but still an amazing price! Compare that to this refurbished T3400 that comes with an E6850 Intel Duo-Core 3.00 processor with a 525 watt PSU and 2 gigs of ECC 667 SDRAM, and a 73 GB SAS Hard Drive at 15,000 RPM with the nVidia NVS 290...
