Market getting hit a bit here at 3:15PM due to Meredith Whitney ( the banking analyst ) talking about how the earnings power of the banks has been dramatically reduced (as well as asset value ) and how most are trading at 2x tangible book value. She says that they are "manufacturing" earnings...

Because of ridiculously stupid "claims" such as this: Not only is your grammar horrible (along with not knowing the difference between "their" and "there") but your ability to libel a company and make statements/claims as FACT is downright staggering.

The crack is getting bigger? How so, and please be specific. The credit markets say otherwise.

What coal contract has been up a lot??? NYMEX barge coal for June was +0.64 to $46.17 yesterday. Powder River was $7.55 bid and CSK-BSK<1% was $39.50 bid. Big deal.

Looks like 930 SPX held up as resistance again and pushed the market back down to short-term intra-day support around 925. Stay tuned!
