I guess its the level of attachment to thoughts of past and future that can take us out of the present. Thinking/worrying/regretting at a high level about past/future can take our focus out about crossing the street. :D

Thoughts come and go. Through practice these thoughts can have less attachment and flow through your mind easier. The space between thoughts is where present lies. peace.

The biggest point I drive home to my son is to LOVE your fellow human. The streets brought me up thinking differently as part of survival. It took me many years to learn my biggest lesson in life. The HEART papa is our biggest asset. Everything else is just noise.
