I don't really have a good answer on that one, and have never personally tried buying distant month contracts.
I stick with (near-month) futures, ETF's or leveraged ETF's (like DGP), despite the drawbacks.
Your point is completely valid. Anticipating the dollar's demise is one thing, but actually cheering & rooting for it to happen is the dominion of short-sighted fools.
Nobody would truly benefit from that.

Awesome! Going forward, I expect to see a slow grinding uptrend in gold, eventually peaking in an orgasm-spike top.
Instead of just buying and holding, I'll be constantly adjusting my position size; Buying more on dips, and lightening up whenever we get near the top of the channel.
Sometimes I have to wonder why the fuck I still live here.

P.S. Buy this dip in gold and thank me...
Actually, I too wouldn't be surprised if I was an IDF veteran, sergeant, honorably discharged, either.
Especially considering the few dozen times I've already mentioned that fact on these boards.

In other breaking news, Obama also announced multi-million dollar funding plans for Jewish basketball players, German comedians and Japanese gangsta rappers.

Tons of great replies here, and I'll have to try some of your suggestions.

Thanks, and I totally understand. If this were a thread about some semi-obscure psychological disorder that had absolutely no effect on me or anyone else I knew, I certainly wouldn't give a damn either.
However.... just wait and see the responses. I'm positive that quite a few ET members...

Common symptoms of sensory defensiveness include intolerance of high-pitched noises...
Well, I can tell you all about that from first hand experience... at least in regard to opiates. (Opiates were my sole habit. Never had a coke problem because I merely like coke, never loved it.)

To introduce an entirely foreign concept to you, it's called an obvious self-depreciating humorous remark. People without a stick up their ass are known to do this occasionally.
Look it up if you don't believe me.
