ISE options exchange proposes punitive cancel charges for active traders

On July first, I went from providing tens of thousands of contracts in liquidity to the ISE every day, to a full fledged boycott. I hope ISE becomes the Planet Poker of options trading. If you're thinking "What's Planet Poker? Everyone plays at Party or Stars." ...that's exactly my point.

Bush admits the global warming results from fossil fuels....

I don't have strong opinions either way on global warming, but out of curiosity, how do they know what temperatures existed 600 years ago, when the thermometer wasn't invented until 1592?

Bush admits the global warming results from fossil fuels....

Is there really such a thing as 'fossil fuels'? ...It appears that, unbeknownst to Westerners, there have actually been, for quite some time now, two competing theories concerning the origins of petroleum. One theory claims that oil is an organic 'fossil fuel' deposited in finite quantities...

    Almost confirmed (IMPORTANT)

I never said a peace deal would be good for the long term. You & I know the value of a peace treaty signed by a Muslim. Wael reported that negotioations were taking place, I looked into it and agreed with him, and now the facts show that we were correct. That's all.

Now you know it's true. Don't worry, the Republican party is far from finished. We have a two-party system, and the other one is just as bad.

    Almost confirmed (IMPORTANT)

WASHINGTON TIMES: When asked to verify a British account of meetings at a summer villa north of Baghdad between American officials and "some members of the insurgency," as NBC's Tim Russert fashionably put it, Donald Rumsfeld disputed only one assertion: the number of meetings said to have...

    WTF happened to GOLD?!

Gold down big, with oil up big? That's pretty unusual.

    The Freedom Tower

Ever since 9/11, the government loves to throw around the word 'freedom', while simultaneously stripping away our constitutional rights and plunging the nation into neo-fascism. Were those some of the words you were looking for?

    Market Calls

I don't look for pure risk arb plays, but sometimes when someone needs to fill size, the options markets get out of line for a few seconds. Example- Lets say the option (Doesn't matter if it's a put or a call, but it must be liquid- Ideally over 5,000 contracts volume/day ) is 0.60 bid, 0.70...

I really need to re-activate my futures account. (I kind of retired when day trading hit the skids in early '03. To go from making 7-figures to barely scratching out 'regular guy money'- well, my heart just wasn't in it. Just started trading in earnest again a few months ago.) Have been scaling...

    GOOG 300 Shorts mortified

Exactly! People don't like to think about how the forward P/E is over 40. When search becomes a mature industry (As every industry eventually does), the P/E naturally gravitates toward 25. GOOG will need a hell of alot of growth to compensate for that. That said, I'm currently LONG GOOG...

I'm also very bullish on spooz for next week. Dip in the uptrend, end of quarter window dressing- all the ducks seem lined up for a sharp rally early in the week. I Bought ITM & ATM SPY calls at the close.

    Spread Question

You're not even close to delta neutral here. I'd call this a ratio spread. Ratio spreads work differently than regular spreads. Sorry, I can't direct you to the right resources, but just knowing that much gets you a little closer.
