OK, if this isn't a prank, just talk to Steve_IB. http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/member.php?s=&action=getinfo&userid=15500 He works for IB, is located in Hong Kong, and can probably communicate with you in your preferred language.

Overlandpark, which language do you speak best? Someone on ET can probably help you in your own language. If you're not joking about your situation (highly unlikely), trying out options trading for the first time- in response to a losing trade where you're already scared money- is the worst...

    Poker and the Beginning Trader

TraderNik is 100% right, as usual. Luck is just a short term factor, and if taking bad beats upsets/frustrates/puts you on tilt, poker isn't for you. Play chess instead. ___________ "Poker is a game of skill and <b>over years the cards are the same for all players.</b> The same players...

Worldco Llc - Walter Bruan Scott Comes Out Of Hiding..

Back in the Golden Age (1998-2000), We'd make more money on OTC stocks than listed. That's why I'm saying that a change from 64ths to pennys barely matters. As for NYSE trading, yes. the impact of decimalization was far greater there.

Worldco Llc - Walter Bruan Scott Comes Out Of Hiding..

I heard about Trout's (rumored) new hobby from a friend with many high level contacts in the industry. BTW, why did you ask me about Trout? Because of my Objectivist name? Not surprising if he's now a tax fugitive. When the government's main function has become taking away our money by force...

Worldco Llc - Walter Bruan Scott Comes Out Of Hiding..

Yeah, I have to agree with your other reasons why daytrading is much tougher now. Everything except decimalization. <b>Every</b> serious trader has heard of Monroe Trout, but I find him especially interesting, as he's one of many Objectivist (Ayn Rand's philosophy) super-traders. You can add...

    Trading dying a slow death

I can see that. Amazing how we've now gone three straight years without a single front-page headline dramatic market drop. Especially considering that every single year from 1996 to 2002 had exhibited large one day dips.

Thanx, that's worth a tivo. Amazing how whenever politicians defy the constitution by trying to take away more of our freedoms, it's always 'for the children'. You know what would <b>really</b> be good for the children? Dismantling over 90% of the federal government, revoking all prohibition...

I see the old spurious-correlation, 'decimalization killed daytrading' myth still has a few believers left. So I'll just set the record straight, again: Remember back in the champagne and caviar days when CMGI, YHOO, SDLI, QCOM and friends moved 30, 40 points a day? Those stocks traded...

    Traders from RUSSIA...wake up

opm8, Thanx for adding your viewpoint here. When presented with convincing evidence, I am capable of changing my opinion from one side to the other. The Mikhail Khodorkovsky/ YUKOS arrest & seizure is a part of the picture one can't ignore. Saying Russian government officials are openly...

We're both right. *I am correct in letting you know that you'll do alot better by just expressing yourself plainly, instead of trying to make simple things sound complex. *You are correct in your assumption that I'm an asshole.

How NOT to get a backer/OPM for one's trading: Use the most cryptic & nebulous terms you can possibly think of, for simple activities like filling orders for customers. Leave your potential backers convinced you know how to write up plenty of fancy words to describe simple things. Make them...

    Traders from RUSSIA...wake up

Dobre dien, I've never been to Russia, but as a Libertarian, I'm starting to believe that today's Russia is more of a free country than today's U.S. Low flat tax, less governmental regulation, and now this: <b>No More Jail Terms for Drug Possession</b> "President Vladimir Putin...

Anybody remember the stuff you had to learn for the series 7 exam? Practicing even the slightest price manipulation of securities will put you behind bars. ...then in parallel, you have the NYSE specialist system. A few lucky fellows get to not only manipulate, but <b>firmly control</b> the...

How do you make a burger? What would that reveal about a job candidate? I'd always use this test to gauge pattern recognition ability. Solving it in under five minutes is great. Under eight minutes is o.k.

Worldco Llc - Walter Bruan Scott Comes Out Of Hiding..

m.....e....g said that Walter's numbers are <b>better than Schonfeld's. </b> So my reply was: "Walter's net worth is more than $500 mil? In that case he really should use some of that to pay back his victims." Maybe the comparison to Refco doesn't fit, but I do know that Schonfeld was...

The above is straight from the NASD. http://www.nasd.com/web/idcplg?IdcService=SS_GET_PAGE&ssDocName=NASDW_002861 ...so how is he any better than Refco's Phillip Bennett? The crime is nearly identical. Walter's net worth is <b>more</b> than $500 mil? In that case he really should use...
