Scary stuff. Glad to be one of those watching from the sidelines...
The sad part is most American citizens don't have a clue what any of this means. They'll just head to H&R Block and pay whatever amount the computer spits out at them and that will be that.
I agree. But for some dumbass reason market participants pay attention and react to their ratings. If/when they downgrade, I would expect yields to pop.
This is my thought as well. Since the ratings agencies received so much flak regarding their bogus AAA ratings they've been very quick to downgrade anything and everything. There is no risk to the ratings agency if they rate something too low, but there is a lot of risk in rating something too...
I'm not sure if I buy that. If I was an employer, I would want the brightest mind possible, as long as they were willing to work for the wage that I want to pay for that given position.
Out of curiosity, do you have a degree of any type Peil?
Who are you kidding? There are no Canadians in the trailer park in Alabama where you live. You wouldn't know a typical Canadian if one bitch-slapped you in the face. :D
Way too cold for them up here. Years ago a company I was with hired Mexicans seasonally during the summer. We would be in shorts and a t-shirt sweating buckets and they would be in pants and long sleeves.
I am not speaking specifically of space exploration for resource extraction, although that could be one potential example. My point is that we don't know where the future job creation via technological advancements/innovation will happen because they haven't happened yet. This does not mean...

Also, on June 28, 2010, Canada signed a nuclear cooperation agreement with India to supply them with uranium. An expected $25 billion to $50 billion industry in India in the near future.

A week old, but significant nonetheless.
China wants to double trade with Canada by 2015 to $60 billion.
Beef, uranium, and natural gas are the particular industries that are mentioned.
You need to get a sense of humour, Mr. Creationist. I am human, obviously I have emotion, and am not some sort of "zen master". My point was that neither you, nor this discussion, are important enough to bring out my emotional side.
I never attempt to catch a falling knife. In a sense, I simply see the value of an asset presently trending, and attempt to capture a small portion of that trend. I would never let my own bias (aka crystal ball) get in the way of what is happening currently.
I know what you're saying and don't necessarily disagree with most of it, but I don't like the definitive "we have peaked" statements. Nobody knows what the future will bring.
Before the TV was invented, do you think people such as you or me were sitting there, envisioning this new...
I don't think Cramer is stupid enough to get wrapped up in this type of scam. But Cramer is definitely stupid for associating himself with Lenny in the first place. At one time he was touting something like a 105-0 options strategy winning streak. Give me a break.
I am not a scientist, nor have I ever claimed to be. I'm also not emotional - emotions are for women. Please don't assume things about me. I simply enjoy a heated debate sometimes.
Judging from your previous post, where you attempted to argue that since 33% of scientists (judging by the...
Correct me if I'm wrong:
You believe that all atheists are immoral.
You believe that Christians have better morals than atheists.
I have reasonably concluded this, simply by the thread title. If you don't believe these things, then all you did with this thread was post one random...
