    Kudlows goldilocks economy.....

Kudlow's Goldilock's economy was built on one of the biggest asset bubbles known to the history of mankind: the housing bubble. At the same time high wage manufacturing jobs were disappearing from U.S. shores, the construction worker (drywallers, carpenters, bricklayers, trim carpenters...

LMAO - GM/F/Chrysler bankruptcy is Imminent!!! SUVs Pose a Crises for America

I wouldn't call it booming. Even Toyota's sales are down YoY. If you use May sales data, the annualized new car sales for '08 will be 12.7 million vehicles, which in technical terms, is 'atrocious.' I believe annualized sales reached an eyelash under 17 million in 2005.

LMAO - GM/F/Chrysler bankruptcy is Imminent!!! SUVs Pose a Crises for America

No foreign auto makers have any dealings with the UAW as far as I know. That's why they build their plants down south, where they can hire corn-fed, strong back, hard working farm raised labor, at about $13/hour. No pensions, basic health care, and few 401(k) plans, all in a low tax...

With a PE of 14.22 on SPY - A Crash is Impossible

Trust me when I tell you that most parts of the country are getting pinched badly in nominal terms, and slaughtered in inflation-adjusted terms. If Shiller is right, the pain will last for a long time, and you are correct, the most important metric will be inflation-adjusted, gut-wrenching...

    Financial Fears Sweeping the Globe

Another cut and paste. But da-a-aaaamn. What will become of us all if the RBS case pans out? How, exactly, are you positioning yourselves to hedge against the risks alleged by Janjuah and some others, if at all? Financial Fears Sweeping the Globe by: William Patalon III posted on: June...

Do you know Iran stop using US$ in its crude oil transactions?

Oil is fungible, though. So, as long as the U.S. imports any of the crude it uses, not buying from Iran just means we increase buying from others.

Breaking News: Saudi Arabia to Increase Oil Production to 9.7 Million/Brl Per Day

I'm not so sure. Saudi Arabia is pretty much OPEC. By increasing or decreasing production, they affect prices, and can twist arms of fellow members.

Breaking News: Saudi Arabia to Increase Oil Production to 9.7 Million/Brl Per Day

What do you expect Bodman to say? Seriously? At any rate, whether we who believe oil is plentiful, and delivery is being manipulated are right, or Mr. Bodman is right, the largest OPEC producer is ramping up production. Libya's comments are pretty much rendered meaningless on the news of...

Chicken Little, or not, RBS warns of CRASH !

Very, very eloquent and rational post, IMO. Buy irrational fear, and sell irrational euphoria. The trick is the timing, if you want to maximize profits. Sometimes, attempting to maximize profits puts you at peril, though. You'd be better off taking the chips when you can, long or short.

World: are you ready?...Iran war coming

I don't think anyone thinks a bombing campaign will be significantly successful. See my earlier post on this. However, what most people don't realize is that Saudi Arabia and Dubai are as concerned about Iran's regional aspirations and growing influence as anyone. Israel is sending a...
