    3 phrases of trends: which is low-risk & high-rewards?

I suppose so, for 25 tick bars. If that is what you trade I can see that. Otherwise I have my doubts how useful it could be for higher size bars.

    Beyond patterns: rethinking candlesticks

I ask because this bar, for example, stood out to me skewing things up a little:- HH, HC but LL too. Some use MedianPrice as a thought. I delved into it a long time ago but moved on to others ways of determining.

Have you looked at where HL's / LH's price closes?

Spot and forward rates for many tradeables are close but not the same. That is my point. When I look to see what Elliott Wave might show for the S&P I look at $SPX cash because IMO it is much clearer than its Futs equivalent factoring in price at some future point and Globex session movements...

Disagree. Learning trading skills, like any job takes time and effort. A carpenter doesn't say let me first learn how to measure something, then at some point how to cut it. Later still how to nail it in place.

Interesting this happening with the EUR. Seems like a long term uptrend breakdown

 I use close above high - of the lowest close bar in downtrend, and vice versa close below low - of highest close bar in uptrend for reversal entries. Though not in anyway MA related.

Interesting this happening with the EUR. Seems like a long term uptrend breakdown

My time horizon is hours to a day or two in future. As for that, I think a move higher Sun eve/Monday day session to 1.0950 area before a pullback. Who knows really, chits and giggles predicting. Anyway my interest in DXY and FX pairs is strictly how it affects index futs, and secondarily CL...

Other than spike up in late April 10 year Bund has been losing out to 10 year Bond:-

Agree. We are going green, somewhat, but frack, frack, fracking in the meantime. Keeps the wheels turning and input costs down. Amazing how a "senile, socialist" Prez is currently behind that.

    3 phrases of trends: which is low-risk & high-rewards?

How does one know what kind of trend err price action (corrections and ranges which is most of the time are not trends) they are in until it is plainly obvious?

    Beyond patterns: rethinking candlesticks

Trying to capture and trade cycles, the traditional way, has been referred to as trying to capture smoke. Its right there, then it isn't. I subscribe to the belief cycles repeat only so much, so best to look short term approx past 30 bars and not expect it to continue beyond the next 30 bars...

    Daily Crude Chat

Well there was a TDSetUpSell $76.25 (Stop $76.58) @ 5:35am but ya gotta sleep sometimes. :) Next TDSetUpSell dropped too much initially to have safe stop placement so passed on it. Then TDSeqSell chopped me up. Stop wasn't hit but timed it out. Watching support getting blasted through...
