One way to trade the markets is to be "all consumed". Another is to see trading like most other jobs... 9-5. That is, trade the market from "NY open to close" and don't worry about it for the rest of the time. Trading well is not really like "discovering the mother lode and striking it rich"...

The DOM is OK as a trading platform. As for "market insights", I look for that in the price charts. Whatever spoofing may or may not go on in the DOM, I don't pay attention.

Not true. At some point all declines will bounce. Some will just blast away higher, and if you don't "chase the bounce", you get left in the dust. All you know is the "setup". You don't ever know for far it will carry or how long it will last. You have to evaluate that on the fly.
