A guy named James Simons... ~80 years old now. Rumor(?) is that it's all done with HFT, "front-running" orders.

Used to be "everything happened/expired" at once.... caused large and volatile swings. Some years ago the exchanges decided to "spread the expiration around"....since then triple witch expiration has effectively been a non-event.

Theoretically, there isn't any "qualitative" difference... only a "quantitative" one. If you represent a big corp with big assets, you might "get by" with non-recourse (personal) obligations.... if the FCM agrees to allow that. But it would likely include some evaluation of the balance sheet...

A FCM would be a fool to allow otherwise. Your FCM "stands for all losses", settled-up at the close. If your account is in debit, they will try to collect from you using all means available. There is no upside for the FCM to limit loss recovery to the assets of the LLC.

All of us who sometimes have big positions on leverage worry a bit about the possibilities. If you're relying upon "quick exit" if things go wrong, but for one reason or another you are unable to act/execute.... seems to me the only way to hedge that possibility is to have a counter/offsetting...

Suggest uninstalling/reinstalling mouse driver.

If you have dogs/cats and your mouse has an optical/laser sensor opening .... you might check to make sure there isn't a hair in there. 1 hair is enough to make the mouse act wonky. If so, just blow it out. Happens to me all the time.
