    Why is trading so difficult?

In addition.... 1. Trading is more of a 50-50 proposition than aspiring traders hope/believe. In every trade there is a buyer and a seller... equally convinced that their side of the transaction is the correct play. 2. Losing is painful. Losing money is usually especially painful. We are...

    How much would you pay?

Hey girly.... you're the one running your mouth, throwing shade. Not a matter of "thin skin".... just refusing to "suffer fools gladly".

    How much would you pay?

Wrong. I suppose some say they do, but few actually. (Is 7200 sq ft, "huge"? Doesn't seem like it.) You're treading on thin ice girly.... basically suggesting I'm a fraud when you know nothing of me. (Your mama should have taught you better manners.) Strike one.

    How much would you pay?

Me? I live in a 7200 sq ft, custom-built home on 2.5 acres. (Fully paid, no mortgage) What's to feel sorry for me??

    How much would you pay?

The general market for "OPM" is less sophistated and more risk-averse.... less interested in "taking a flyer with the hope of outsized gains". Personal anecdote.... Back when I was trying to build a reputation to manage OPM in a mutual fund timing service, I took my results to local people in...

    How much would you pay?

No investor with any common sense would risk trusting someone to manage his money until the manager has a proven track record. That is, "long enough resuts with big enough money". That includes independent audits. I have personal experience here. Trust me on this.

A good article about top ETFs

ETFs of the same underlying will be almost identical from a trading perspective. Just trade ones where the volume is great enough for your size. Much more important... which "focus" or sector. That is, "general market" or "Nasdaq 100".... "technology" or "financial", etc.

    How much would you pay?

"To Hell with 25%"... If you could guarantee investors 10%/yr, you'd have more money to manage than you could handle. Where are you on that? (Yes, I'm mocking your post... :))

    Contrarian Trader Tops And Bottom

If you're proficient in "Price TA", you can pick where you might play for top/bottom. "Take a shot, with stop". Paul Tudor Jones once said, "I've made 10 times more money picking tops and bottoms than I ever made trying to avoid picking them". FWIW....

My *COD* - did nothing survive 2008?

Some are touting gold as the asset to have in the next crash. However....gold lost ~33% in the 2008-9 decline, gold miners lost ~66%.

calculating net returns, what do you use

Years ago I had a sizable gain in a mutual fund, but the price was currently going against me. I decided to "hold it until I could get Long Term Capital Gains treatment".... Big mistake. By the time I got to the 1-year holding period, almost all of the gain had been given back. Last time I...

Michael....How could you even ask such a question? (Or did you forget April Fools Day was last month? Then again, you're just bored down there in AZ and trolling everyone for a laugh?) Of course trading is not gambling. Anyone who believes trading IS gambling, should stop trading...

Study: financial conditions are still too easy for the equities bull market to end

Rising rates usually are a sign of strong economy, strong earnings. With the positive effect of strong earnings being greater than the negs of rising rates (at least in the early stage of rate rise), the markets tolerate rates "up to a point", then they say "that's too much". Obviously we're...
