if ARK ever faced outflows, hedge funds could take predatory short positions

Wow... With the "% size" of her holdings, her portfolio is likely to suffer a huge (catastrophic?) decline when the SHTF in a bear market. Into the March bottom, her fund had lost a bit less than 50%... and that was just a correction.

    Futures verses Options

TOTAL BS! If you understand "Price TA"... any place where it would be sensible to buy a stock... would be a place to sensibly buy a call. Odds of winning would be HIGH, not "lotto ticket"!!

Another sign of a significant asset bubble! A cat NFT sells for $560k!

Is that better or worse than the "Banana duct-taped-to-a-board" that sold for $120,000?

Powell Flapping His Gums Today.... Be On Your Toes

Powell... "Long way to go for full recovery". Read.... "LOTS MORE MONEY PRINTING FOR A LONG TIME... INFLATION* BE DAMNED!" * History shows that big inflation destroys countries and its people's wealth. So.... exactly why is the Fed pushing this destructive path? What's the political...

Is Brazil about to become a fascistic dictatorship (aka right wing paradise)?

Liberals confuse/conflate "right wing" and Fascism. They don't realize that Fascism is actually extreme Leftist. Like always, "accuse others of what you are or are doing".

Powell Flapping His Gums Today.... Be On Your Toes

Yeah, that's sort of how it works. And some traders say, "TA doesn't work". The Fed sees the charts... knows when to flap its gums.

Is that the going price of hopium today? LOL!

Powell Flapping His Gums Today.... Be On Your Toes

The market has had a couple of days of correction, so wouldn't be surprised to hear more of "do what it takes for as long as it takes"... "money print Heaven".... "don't worry, there's no inflation". We'll see if the market is growing weary of his "money-print" mantra.

Prayer To Open New Session of Kansas Senate

Prayer in senate This interesting prayer was given in Kansas, USA, at the opening session of their Senate. It seems prayer still upsets some people. When Minister Joe Wright was asked to open the new session of the Kansas Senate, everyone was expecting the usual generalities, but this is what...

He's warning everyone again about the collapse, but NO ONE IS LISTENING!

Recently saw a story about how Tesla "hasn't make a F'arkin Dime... except for government tax incentives... since inception". In addition, Tesla ranks next-to-last in quality. Hard to get my mind around TSLA stock price.

He's warning everyone again about the collapse, but NO ONE IS LISTENING!

No, didn't forget them. There is a special place in HELL for all of them... and now including Powell! If truth be told, Reagan should be included. He's the one who said, "... You don't have to choose between guns and butter. You can have both. Just borrow and spend the money you don't...

He's warning everyone again about the collapse, but NO ONE IS LISTENING!

There have been warnings from hi-profile folks for months. So far, no cigar. I suspect the top will come when Powell initiates yet another stimulus... and flaps his gums about "it's OK because there is no inflation".... and instead of further rally, the market sells into that. It's "all about...

Large clearing firm to go public via spac

Not "just as much". At least the "regular businesses" are not "blank checks". There is some data that shows which SPACs appear to be "making money/enhancing value" vs. those "losing a bundle so far" on what they invested in. There is an additional layer of risk in the "I don't care where you...

Large clearing firm to go public via spac

This whole SPAC thing is rather interesting. Investors put their money into something they know nothing about... no analysis, no evaluation... they just trust that the operators will "do something good and make the investors money". (Kind of like gambling, no?) Saw a story about one SPAC...

    Cultivating Resilience?

You're correct on both points. How you "feel" about the market at any time is of no concern to it. Discipline is like "analysis and logic over everything". I've often thought the best market player would be Mr. Spock, if you get the drift.

    Cultivating Resilience?

I'm not going to be liked for saying this, but I'm going to anyway. You only need "resilience" when you've screwed up big time. If you've done your homework... and you approach appears to work in sim... and you've been successful trading your plan with "small money for practice".... then, and...

Why do moving averages SUCK so much?

Moving Averages Bottom Line... Yes, they do suck most of the time. In general, a waste of time to try to make a trading system out of them. (What does that say for MACD? Yes I know... somebody will say a "move was confirmed by MACD"... but any trader worth his salt should have seen the play...

    Indicators

When traders think "indicators", they usually mean "range indicators". The major (only?) ones are RSI, Stochastic (%K), CCI, and %R. They all tell the same story at abut the same time. I recommend those interested should spend some time checking out all of them to see which they like best...
