You need to Ask yourself why you should trade options over the underlying.. You are trading on a very short time frame,so overnight risk is ruled out.. What's your edge/objective??? Your example if buying 2 40 Delta calls as opposed to 700 shares makes no sense ..

So you are trading 700 shares of stock with a tight stop(apx .23),but trading 2 Delta 40 options as a cash substitute?? If you are dead right,you are long 80 delta's to start maxing out at 200 delta's assuming Delta goes to 1???

I would have to get the same deal as I get at TOS so IB is out..I trade 100 lots to squeeze out 3 -6 cents..its very labor intensive and I probably trade close to 1000000 contracts per year..i can use a break

I send out orders manually via TOS.. My beat guess is I was trading with Citadel..Why they won't trade with ProCust is beyond me,but I confirmed with TOS that they now tag my orders as Pro..Sucks,as the easy money is history

For the time frame you are trading,and assuming you are trying to capture some multiple ATR move with a hard stop,simple is better...You don't need much more than Delta and simple payout diagrams.. The big question is would you buy more OTM options than ATM and in what ratio

There arent really that many variables if you "understand" a terminal payoff of a backspread vs a ratio....Im assuming that traders trade equal delta or equal dollars on ITM vs ATM vs OTM.. Its really a question of how much gamma you want,and what you can stomach as far as a winning...
