For index futures, RTH session runs upto 1615 EST. Why does IB enforce overnight maintenance margin at 1600 EST? Many a times, I want to continue holding positions till 1615, but IB's policy makes it impossible to hold the position to eod. Do other brokers like Advantage etc. also start...

I have never done any backtesting over monthly holds, but I can say with 90% confidence that not having a wide trailing stop while doing position trading as B1S2 does is a highly inefficient way to trade. For intra-day trading, many a times, trailing stop does affect performance negatively...

To B1S2 - If what ammo says is correct, it will be wonderful if B1S2 decides to open a new journal for him wherein only he posts his calls on several instruments. I for one would be very interested to see how someone trades several markets longer term as a portfolio.
