    ES Microstructure

Well, the point is 3 point improved price condition does not hold if you are taking breakout trades. Because if the price has retraced and hit your stop, by definition, it does not remain a breakout anymore. So, it nullifies your set-up condition. However, I agree if you are testing for...

LOL . I got you LF ! I wanted you to point this out so that I can point you to consistent execution and then stats can play themselves. Yesterday, I wasn't consistent in execution and the result I took that dd yesterday and loss today. So, stats will not play out in the long run for a guy...

Cont... So, yes you are correct because putting a stop below 38 would be correct on most of the days. But the days on which it will get hit and price will come back will cause a massive dent in PL and increase DD. So, statistically speaking ( and if one can execute in the same way over the...

I always use a wide disaster stop. it is 32 in this case. That will get hit only if some news hits the wires. Otherwise if we do start trading lower and price action seems not good, I will manually exit. Your argument that we should not trade much below 38 if we want to make new highs today...

Defending my position. Bullish on daily basis, but here for an intra-day trade, short seems to be the correct trade - don't want to lose my short position, so adding.

Myriad of reasons why it appeared yesterday at the beginning of day that a long would be the trade: 1) Great unemployment numbers 2) Santa rally time 3) Market sold for 3 consecutive days 4) Market action on Friday, we bounced off almost 3 times from the lows and it was kind of apparent that...

BAC last bid 4.98, S&P downgrades 37 global banks...

your neighbor proved to be a smart fella if he held BAC! From 8 to 11, his investments went up from 8*60000 = 480,000 to 11*60000 = 660,000 in less than a year.
