A question about designing a medium frequency system, 10k trades per day

OP, listen - Amazingindustry is giving you here a reality check. You are not taking his feedback, rather you are shutting him off. CS PhDs from MIT and Berkeley find it takes a long time and experience to code up a high performance hft trading platform and manage a HF operation. It takes years...

A question about designing a medium frequency system, 10k trades per day

Dude, Come down to earth from flying clouds. You are just not equipped to do it. As someone said, putting in 10k orders a day is doable. What is harder is order management, and open position management. Btw, 10k orders per day is HFT not MFT. MFT is like 10-50 trades per day. Don't go...

    CL Redux

So, I was expecting an eventual runup to 85 within a week. Would have been a 8% rally or so in a week. I guess proper way to play this kind of scenario was using a high theta call option with probably 1-2 weeks to go. Can anyone tell me what would have been the price of a 85 weekly call when...

    CL Redux

Great Trade Man! I don't play CL but last night when S&P had that massive move, I looked around to see which are the most beaten down assets and CL came top on my list. I bought 1 QM at 79.5 and exited at 80.8, hoping to buy again around 80.25, my eventual target was 84/85 early next week...

    Protecting your strategies

You are missing the point here. It is "not too hard" to get a code written, even if it is 5000 lines of code. What you do is hire couple of programmers, pay them good money and they will write it for you. The value of understanding someone's else successful strategy lies in the "idea part"...

Yes this is a good and valid point. JCL should provide 100 entries/exits of a good system with PF at least 1.7, to make it worthy of decoding. If this is true, I will also take an attempt at decoding the system.
