AIG taking a big dump in the afterhours session futures taking a nosedive

long aig 25.30 no stop. They may break the lows after they suck in the retail crowd. Thinking about shorting 22.50 puts as well.

Thanks for the disclaimer. I am thinking short after the announcement and vol, just a guess though. Maybe the (yawn) language will be the difference or Ben sticks us with a full point raise.:p

Just got out of a small long figuring the mkt would be up today, got out too early so I have to fight the "shoulda woulda coulda" urge. This is just greed, its opposite is fear. That's why smart traders fade the extremes. Good trading. Nice long entry buy1.

    BSC and Jimmy Cayne

Interesting article, draw your own conclusions, I like how Cayne is pissed that Spector invests 25 million in their own sub prime hedge fund, they ended up losing alot more than that...

Tired of Cutting My Losses Short

Not sure, my point was that one bad trade or trader can ruin you. You can always blame the market, conspiracies, frontrunning, etc but at the end of the day someone is responsible for the trade. Notice how all the quant shops had big losses together like last august and rebounded together with...

should woulda coulda is one of the worst habits a trader can have. Next time maybe trade small size to test the market. The reason it is such a bad habit is that it becomes all about being right which leads to arrogance about the market. Epistemic humility as Taleb says. Good trading! edit...

Tired of Cutting My Losses Short

The hardest part of trading to me is getting out and honoring the stops, but if you don't one trade can take you out. Look at this massive two day rally, I am sure alot have felt the pain. http://seekingalpha.com/article/61755-the-20-largest-trading-losses-in-history
