Look at a candlestick chart, the wicks tell all. Here is an example, you could argue that this is cherry picked and you would be correct. If you could catch every reversal you would be rich in no time; if you can catch the big ones though and ride the trend you should do alright.

I am afraid that you may not understand the risk profile of your position. Covered call is misleading. Let's say the stock gaps down 10 dollars overnight, you get to keep your premium $168 but now you are under water on the stock. Please go over risk profile and understand basic synthetics...

Being up 12% is very good in this market. It probably takes someone about 2-3 years of watching the markets everyday to get good at tape reading. You should study pivot points as well and check out AHG holy grail thread so you understand higher high, higher low, etc. Lots of good information if...
