Which brokers give the best portfolio margin ?

I don't see anything about the cost of borrowing. There's an ad that runs asking about margin cost that claims IB is at least 1/2 the cost of the other brokers.

The Hidden Costs of No-Fee Trading

Summary Overall, there is no evidence that PFOF harms price execution. In the end, we find that our price differences are due to different brokers getting different execution prices for the exact same trade at the same venue. Indeed, wholesalers, unlike exchanges, are not required to treat...

The Hidden Costs of No-Fee Trading

They (the authors) made a days worth of trades and found a 167 dollars difference in account values. I assumed the difference came from bid ask spreads or where market orders were filled. They didn't say. Thats the cost per trade I was referring to.

The Hidden Costs of No-Fee Trading

It would have been nice if they mentioned the cost per trade. They threw around big numbers but the numbers involved in the US markets are huge. For instance it would have been nice to know why the discrepancy in the first trades they made and if it was always the same broker who cost the most...

    CPRX

It kind of looks to me like you are buying stocks then finding reasons to have bought them, rather than having reasons and buying stocks when they meet you criteria. The stocks that are being recommended to you seem to have already had their run. Scanning for new highs would have alerted you to...

Why This Computer Scientist Says All Cryptocurrency Should “Die in a Fire”

I'm with Newton and likewise I have acess 24/7. Although I can trade commission free there is still the spread which is in the 0.75% area. Also the trades are in $Cad so I eat the spread there also. I can move my BTC to a cold wallet so if I ever accumulate a significant amount I'll be doing...

Why This Computer Scientist Says All Cryptocurrency Should “Die in a Fire”

I've tried to explain it to you before. If you owned all the bitcoin and all the shares of AMZN how are you going to make any money. BTC has no income. AMZN is a business with revenue. I know, I know you won't ever own all of either. I'm just trying to point out the BTC doesn't produce anything...

Why This Computer Scientist Says All Cryptocurrency Should “Die in a Fire”

Pretty well. I'm a momo speculator. I buy stuff that's going up and sell it when it changes trend. I'm in the game to make money. Can't make money holding onto an asset that is trending down. It does help with some stocks that you have fundamentals that convince others to buy from you. The only...

Why This Computer Scientist Says All Cryptocurrency Should “Die in a Fire”

Where do you think I would go to find greater fools? I'm not going out on the street and asking completet strangers!! You find them lined up at the exchanges. Ask them why they are buying BTC and they'll tell you cause it has to go up. Read the book.LOL As per usual, when you have no answer...

Why This Computer Scientist Says All Cryptocurrency Should “Die in a Fire”

It is hard to understand when you step from the individual trade. Your brokerage sends you a statement at the end of each month. The value of your investments change. Your liquid networth is calculated based on the current price of your assets. It would be hard to put up a security as...
