How would you play this type of resistance

To me it is not worth the risk. The buyers last October are just getting to breakeven. The gap up on volume on the 2th looks like distribution. It is a lotto stock Good luck.

    Trading is easy

Watch the losing players. They all think they have the best hand. For whatever reason they don't believe what the cards on the table and the actions of their opponent are telling them. At any rate we use the tools we are comfortable with and have worked in the past. Looking forward to seeing...

    Trading is easy

Exactly the point I was making. Because of the way you interpret the news you develop a bias that may cause you to ignore what the market is telling you.

    Trading is easy

If you want to use poker as an analogy then you cannot compare it to a live game unless you are on the trading floor. Trading with a computer can be compared to online poker. You don't know who is on the other side of the trade or what motivates them. All you can do is play the cards you are...

    Trading is easy

I'll stick with price action. When I look at a chart of price and volume it shows not only every bit of information available but also how the market interprets it. I don't need to know why the market is moving I only need to know that it is moving.

    Trading is easy

The problem I see is that someone has probably reacted to the news before you receive the news. By the time you get the news it is already priced into the market. Also it is not the news that moves the market it is how traders perceive the news.

    Return on Investment

If you can outperform the index, you are doing well. One reason new traders fail is unrealistic expectations.

    Trading is easy

If you want to convince me how easy trading is, don't tell what the market did last week, tell me what the market will do next week.

    Already profitable, what's next?

If you are making money your account should be growing. If you are now doing 5% a month, if you compound your returns you double your account every 16 months. Keep risking 1% per trade. Keep focusing on protection of capital. I would not top up my account from my main income. If I was...

Looking for Day trading/Swing teacher/mentor in Chicago area

You cannot buy trading success. Choose your market. Spend some time watching what it does. Devise a method of taking money out of the market. Now prove that it doesn't work. If you can't prove it doesn't work you have a viable strategy. Spend some time researching why traders fail. Then don't...

TA indicators reliable or self-fulfilling prophecy ?

Study Price action. Most indicators take price action data and manipulate it to be visually pleasing, easier to read. Plot your indicator by hand. Do the calculations required and you will find that price causes the indicator to move.

Do TA is a bullshit ?

TA is a trading tool. Saying TA doesn't work is like saying a hammer doesn't work. Don't blame your tools.

I also have a subscription. I use the FINVIZ free screener to narrow down fundamentals. Have recently started a subscription to Vectorvest mainly because it is the best Canadian screener i have found.
