    I m looking for a mentor

I guess I did; I have never blown-up a trading account. I found that I didn't like to lose money so I figured out a way not to. Basically it's the same secret everyone knows and ignores; Keep your losses small and let your winners run. The only control you have is how and when you play the...

    I m looking for a mentor

Have you made up your losses. Not sure what you mean by the markets are logical. Markets are not anything, they just are. Traders on the other hand, the force that moves the market may or may not follow a pattern. I just make an educated guess and endeavour to keep my losses small when I guess...

    I m looking for a mentor

Congratulations your 13 years have been well spent. I wouldn't dream of guaranteeing that a student will make money after one lesson. In fact I wouldn't consider giving lessons. I'm more of a show me what you've done and where you are having trouble and I'll see if there is anything I could...

    I m looking for a mentor

As I said up thread; You shouldn’t expect a mentor to show you a method. You should expect a mentor to guide you through the process of finding and developing a system that suites you. Too many people are looking to copy a method that may not be appropriate for them.

It is much better if the trader develops his own plan after studying the market. You are more likely to trust something you put together and tested yourself.

    I m looking for a mentor

I'm afraid I won't be much help. I don't have a limit. If the set up I'm using repeats itself I take it. I quit day trading a few years ago. I found I could make as much money with a swing trading strategy strategy and didn't have to sit in front of a computer every hour the market was open...

I have mentored others. You shouldn’t expect a mentor to show you a method. You should expect a mentor to guide you through the process of finding and developing a system that suites you. Too many people are looking to copy a method that may not be appropriate for them. What I find is most...

    0 commission SPY ?

Seeing as how I'm stuck at home; I've been day trading the triple leveraged S&P 500 ETFs. My Brokerage doesn't charge commissions to buy ETFs but there is a Flat 5 buck fee to sell. This would work for an account where you cannot go short as you can essentially short the market with the...

    I m looking for a mentor

I started years ago and learned by trial and error. Today you have internet forums, demo platforms, YouTube and a myriad of online resources. There isn't any secret you can buy that will guarantee you trading success. I suggest studying why traders fail, then don't do any of that. Oh yeah...

    I m looking for a mentor

First thing you learn when you pay for a trading course or hire a mentor is that you need a trading plan. Actually the tough part is having the discipline to follow your plan. If you believe you can buy trading success, I wish you luck. If you could buy success we'd all be millionaires.

I agree; the first thing to establish is if the OP has a plan. Then if the problem is the plan and not the trader you adjust the plan.

    Diversification good or bad?

How is your well diversified portfolio portfolio doing during this latest melt down? Has diversification helped? Portfolio management and market timing have.

    Swing trading stocks

On the bright side you will have capital to deploy when it turns around. You can't control the market, you only control what you do.

    Diversification good or bad?

That is probably more a function of portfolio management rather than diversification. I do use spy as a benchmark and have been lucky enough to outperform since I changed strategies after the tech wreck.

    Swing trading stocks

Has posting your trades helped at all? I found that posting the reason for taking the trades sparked some discussion from other traders . I also found that posting my exits, both stop loss and targets, helped with my discipline. For whatever reason, committing online in an anonymous forum...
