Securing successful strategy from the broker stealing it

No I didn't say that. I just said if you had a system worth stealing you probably had already traded it successfully. Why else would anyone notice it? But you are right. There is not much you could do if someone wanted to steal your system. I don't know how you would copy-right a trading...

Securing successful strategy from the broker stealing it

There is no way to stop the brokerage from reverse engeneering your strategy. On the bright side if your strategy is good enough to steal then you probably have enough to retire on now.

    how to learn trading?

I would like for you to prove me wrong but I strongly believe that you cannot buy trading success. What it took for me to become what I consider a successful is: Developing my own plan after studying the market I wanted to trade. Having reasonable expectations. I can make a living with...

Need some help to analyze a simulated position that didn't work out (BJRI 10/25/2019)

If you followed your trading plan then it was a good trade with a bad outcome. I don't buy on the open but wait to see if the price continues to move in my direction.

    Darvas Box Revisited

Food for thought; :) Breakouts seem to be taken when they cross the last swing high but stop losses have to close the bar below the line.

    Darvas Box Revisited

I read the book; that's why I don't think it will apply to short term trading.:D:D

    Darvas Box Revisited

Especially indexes or futures; I believe he stated somewhere that the method wasn't suited to blue chips, part of the reason it worked is momentum stocks attract new traders as they run up.

    Darvas Box Revisited

One big thing Darvas did well was sit on the side lines when the market wasn't trending.

    Darvas Box Revisited

I've kind of followed Darvas's method for the last 15 or so years. No I didn't make 2 million but it has kept me out of a couple major corrections. Had I used margin, like Darvas, I might have. It simple boils down to buying stocks that are going up and getting out when they go down. Hold the...

    I m looking for a mentor

OOPS Forgot to redact the name on last thank you bottom right. I had more in mind that the people you mentored either picked up your method quickly or needed lots of coaching. Nothing specific but rather how you liked the responsibility of mentoring.

    I m looking for a mentor

Hope you share your mentoring experiences. I found that most don't want to spend the time, they just want you to show them a set-up that works all the time.

    GOLF

Story of my life; one step behind. It's also probably been mentioned that the further you hit it the greater your chances of missing the fairway. If you aim down the center of the fairway and you're off line by 4 degrees, at 200 yards you are 14 yards off line. At 300 yards you are 21 yards off...

    I m looking for a mentor

Exactly: That's what started this conversation, I said a trader is more likely to trust a strategy they put together their self. One question though; if the system "does not rely upon judgement but relies upon market structure which is indisputable" Why do you need a stop? :) I see the OP has...

Oliver Velez and iFundTraders (scam proofs)

Is there anyone who has actually taken the course? If you didn't feel you got your money's worth can you tell us why? If you feel the course was worthwhile and if you have more than a few posts maybe you could elaborate as to why.
