I feel like fundamental analysis is completely useless

This is why I think beating the index is a good measure of a traders success. Look at all the posters who claim to make way in excess. Amateurs licking the Pro's ass. Or maybe the Pro's have to be audited. :)

I feel like fundamental analysis is completely useless

I don't know if they are profitable. I just know that is what other people look at because someone taught them that they are profitable. Just google how to pick a good stock and see what you come up with.

I feel like fundamental analysis is completely useless

The metrics I look at are ROE, earnings growth, gross margin, institutional ownership. What fundamental investors are taught to look at. I'm just looking for someone else to buy my shares when I decide to sell. I'm not aware of any studies, and I'm not overly impressed if you were to show me...

I feel like fundamental analysis is completely useless

What is the reason you are not able to scale? Is it the liquidity of what you are trading or a mental thing about taking uncomfortable risks?

What is the threshold to be considered a successful day trader?

Chances are it needs to be taken out and shot anyway. Never really understood why posters were reluctant to share a plan that wasn't working. Afraid someone might steal it I guess.:)

Cognitive distortions and impact of psychology on making decisions

Cognitive distortions and impact of psychology on making decisions

My experience was Nortel. A Canadian tech darling in the early 2000's. I held at the beginning because I didn't want a capital gain for tax reasons. I kept holding because the pundits and talking heads on TV kept telling me that it would come back. I kept holding because I knew the whole...
