Another day trader bites the dust

Exactly... That's why if you can't beat a buy and hold strategy with an index ETF you probably shouldn't be trading

I don't have the data to substantiate that pro's use EOD and delayed data. I use EOD info for the most part but don't consider myself a pro. I like to think of myself as a successful retail trader. I get to buy my data cheaper that way. :) When I say real time trades I mean that the entries...

My guess is no one would believe them. Tough crowd on these internet forums. Only trades posted in real time are believable and then there is no way of knowing if it was a real trade or a sim trade. Much easier to sit back and criticize.

    Importance of demo

Use you sim account to see if your strategy works. Real money and sim accounts will have different fills (especially with market orders) but you should be able to see if your strategy works. Trade the same dollar amount as you would if you were trading real money. Don't sim trade a million...

The 10 Rules Of Tudor Jones

I've always maintained that the decision to hold a stock is the same as the decision to buy a stock. Why would you hold a stock that you wouldn't buy.

The 10 Rules Of Tudor Jones

We seem to trade with a similar system. I need a reason to exit a trade, not a target. I buy stocks because they are going up so why sell if they continue to do that. The more a stock increases in value and the longer I hold it the exit get further away from the price. My number one rule to...

The 10 Rules Of Tudor Jones

I didn't read his 10 rules, only what you printed. Like I said having a price where you take profits can be explained by having a criteria of where you sell, not a specific price. I'd hate to put words in PTJs mouth.
