Why the Rich are getting Richer? TEDx

I've hit the snags. Like I learned that community property means that you get to keep 50% of everything your wife doesn't want. I've seen mortgage rate's in the teens (1980ish). I've dug myself out of some pretty deep holes, all with the help of OPM. I guess I should thank the Fed, after all...

Why the Rich are getting Richer? TEDx

I have nothing against using borrowed money to finance my lifestyle. However after reading Rich Dad years ago,(1997) I made it a rule only to borrow to buy assets that appreciated or at least gave me the opportunity to write off the interest. I have owned my own home since I had my first job...

How to manage a small portfolio

Let's start with defining how much money you want to make. What do you consider a low return? Look at returns as a percentage of your portfolio, that way the size of the portfolio doesn't affect the size of the return, unless transaction costs become a factor. (If you are trading stocks there...

Scientist discovered why most traders lose ...

Interesting stats. However it only explains that traders lose. We all know that. Some live in denial. What it doesn't explain why or what an aspiring trader should avoid to be successful.

GME up over 100%.... what is going on now?

Did you check out the author? The fact that he used "stonks" reminded me of a poster on this site. Nice written article but I'd be suspicious of the motivation.

Three 1.5% down days in a row

Is it a strategy problem or a discipline problem that has to be fixed? Is 3 losing days in a row that unusual?

What would you say belongs in a solid trading plan?

If your trading plan can answer the following questions you have a solid trading plan. Where do I buy? What do I buy? When do I buy? How much do I buy? When do I sell? The devil is in the details..;)

How much to risk per trade?

The big thing with risk is having the discipline to accept and take your losses. A case in point is another thread where a trader went short GME and has refused to take a loss. He was looking to pick up a few thousand and is now underwater 80K or so. Interesting reading: "GME up over 100%...."

    String of losses

Seeing as how you have already done the work, why not share. There might be something you missed that others can help with. I'm not the creative type you are looking for but there are probably others here that could help if they knew what it was you are looking for. Gotta admit you've been...

    String of losses

What is being discussed? Are you looking to find a method of recouping those losses? I doubt you will find one other than having a string of wins. You just mention a string of losses. No mention of how big or how bad. It is difficult to offer suggestions without all the facts. What is the...
