Can you beat the S&P500 index in the long run?

Then you are only fooling yourself. You measure performance against a benchmark in percentage. Sure you can say your portfolio earned $100 but unless you know the size of the portfolio it means nothing.

If you really believe that buy TQQQ.

Can you beat the S&P500 index in the long run?

Buy and hold is a long term trend following strategy with no risk control. If you can't beat the S&P index you probably shouldn't be trading.

can price action predict market moves

Here is what it means to me. I use charts as a visually pleasing way to see what has happened in the past. ( Add in past performance disclaimer) I look for patterns that have repeated enough time for me to be fairly confident that they have a high probability of repeating again. (No guarantee...

can price action predict market moves

Technical Analysis is a windsock, not a crystal ball. TA can not predict where price will go. It can only identify high probability set ups. Go with the flow. Have a stop in place for when you are wrong.

    trading on a breakout

I trade breakouts. It's like a coin flip, you'll win about 50% of the time. The ones that make the most seem to take off without a pull back. Be prepared to get whipsawed; take small losses and then watch as the stock recovers; 80-20 rule; you make 80% of your profits with 20% of your trades.

Why the Rich are getting Richer? TEDx

I thought you've done a great job of explaining your beliefs. Live within your means. Don't use debt. Happiness is a state of mind. What you haven't explained is why you are posting on a trading forum where making millions overnight and flaunting your wealth with expensive toys is to be...

Why the Rich are getting Richer? TEDx

“Money may not buy happiness, but I'd rather cry in a Jaguar than on a bus.” ― Françoise Sagan "You can't buy happiness!! However you can rent such a reasonable facsimile that you'll hardly notice the difference" --Deaddog Actually what I don't get is why you are posting on a trading forum.

Why the Rich are getting Richer? TEDx

Well only one of several businesses went bankrupt. He still has several viable business ventures and a few extra million stuffed away. The only damage was done to his reputation which is suspect at best. He's not reduced to eating cat food yet.

GME up over 100%.... what is going on now?

The one thing about Ken is he isn't wrong for long. He takes his losses quickly then waits for a new top. He'll be right sooner or later and make a piss pot full. In the mean time he takes advantage of what the market gives him to recover his losses.

GME up over 100%.... what is going on now?

It's called conformational bias. You'll agree with anyone as long as they see the stock dropping and ignore any information that might be contrary to what you want. Take a look back and see how many tops Ken has called. :D:D

Stocks do well or poorly in the future because....

Consider this quote by Mark Cuban in the Forward to the book "The Number" "Stocks don’t go up because companies do well or do poorly. Stocks go up and down depending on supply and demand. If a stock is marketed well enough to create more demand from buyers than there are sellers, the stock will...

How to manage a small portfolio

The only difference between a small portfolio and a large would be the number of positions and the position size. As a mentor that is one of the things you should stress.
