Another request to allow us to filter out individual threads...

Thanks; I'm aware of that but I guess it's probably not worth the effort.

Another request to allow us to filter out individual threads...

If I understand the system if I put another poster on ignore not only will i not see their posts but they won't be able to see my posts. This is a little frustrating as the entertainment value of some of the threads goes down when you only see half the conversation. Another member has me on...

    GOLF

Golf is a lot like trading; You have a people who couldn't make a living playing the game offering up advice that they read somewhere else.

Do you trade for an income or for a compound effect?

I day traded when I retired but found that swing trading was a lot less stressful. I now spend very little time in front of a computer. My returns are not that much different.

    Does trendline work?

It's like asking does a hammer work? For building a house there is a good chance you could make it work. For fixing a cell phone, maybe not.

Attention Bunny Fam, we got hacked

Therein lies the problem; when you are down 30% you have to gain 42% to break even.

    Momentum vs Day trading

It's what I do. I buy stocks that go up and sell them when they don't. I call it my Will Rogers strategy.

QQQ is far superior to SPY

I just went back to when it became available. That way I missed the tech wreck and the 2008 meltdown. Somewhere there's a disclaimer about past performance. I have no idea where things are going tomorrow. Back testing only tells you what you could have done.:banghead:

Are tradingview strategies waste of time?

Yup; Figure out why they failed. If I asked you the five top reasons that traders failed and a new trader starting out didn't do any of those 5 things don't you think they would be much more likely to succeed. Can't argue with ignoring the mainstream media.

    TESLA & BTC

I understand inflation. Hell my first job paid a buck an hour and I can remember thinking a 5 figure income was cutting a fat hog in the ass. But there are hedges against inflation. Bitcoin to me will eventually end when someone realizes that the Emperor has no clothes. Isn't bitcoin acting like...

How are these people who have cash under their mattress going to access bitcoin accounts? Who sells bitcoin for cash and who would buy bitcoin with the cash under their mattress? I have cash in the bank and sleep quite well knowing that the same value of cash will be there in the morning as was...

Managing a large Account for Income?

Or you could just buy S&P 500 ETF (Not much difference from S&P100) and move in and out of the market on a trend line break. Weinstein used a 30 week ma. Long when above and in cash when below. You get the odd whipsaw but it keeps you out of the big drops. I use something similar with...

    Portfolio Diversification & Position Sizing

Diversification doesn't control risk. Having a system that limits losses controls risk. The Zurich Axioms by Max Gunther is a easy and worthwhile read. Google will give you quick review.
