Do you trade for an income or for a compound effect?

I'm suspicious of systems that require a lot of capital to make them viable. If you have an ES system that works you should be able to make it work with one contract. If not how about trading the mini or SPY or one of the leveraged ETFs? I realize that being undercapitalized is one reason...

How long before news is fully priced in?

What effects price is how traders/investors interpret the news. Having advanced knowledge may not help.

Do you trade for an income or for a compound effect?

If you can't make money with a small account what makes you think you could make money if you were better capitalized.

If you are a day trader with a persistent edge, are you a millionaire yet?

Couldn't agree more. I think a lot of traders overlook that the objective is to make money, not to keep busy.

How long before news is fully priced in?

Do you mean how long before the market interprets the news the way you do? Galbraith said "the market can remain irrational longer than I can stay solvent." or something along that line.

    Question to Elite Traders

Take a look at the trades you have executed this month/year. Knock the time frame down. Did you get the same setups. Would you have hit your target or your stop?

AS long as you are getting the info you need that's great. What I like about excel is that I can manipulate the data to give me info I can use. I would think you can input the data just as fast as you can check to make sure the other program is correct.

    Question to Elite Traders

When I say I trade one market I mean the stock market. I was assuming tradex meant move from stocks to futures or commodities or forex when you can't find a set-up in the stock market.

    Question to Elite Traders

If I might respectfully disagree. I trade one market. There are days, at times weeks where no set-ups occur. I have to wait, I can't force the market to do what I want. I'm in the game to make money, not to keep busy. I don't go looking for a trade I wait for a trade to show up. It's in my...

OK I think I got it. Convexity has something to do with bonds. I don't know a thing about bonds except you're supposed to keep some in your portfolio to keep it from dropping to much in a market downturn. When the market or any stock I own starts to fall I go to cash. Problem solved! Thematic...

If you are a day trader with a persistent edge, are you a millionaire yet?

Thanks again for taking the time to respond. Still to complicated for me. Back to google to look up thematic trend, mimic convexity and having problems wrapping my head around portfolio beta. You must have a pretty good record or a lot more capital than I have if you can afford 7k per month...

    Portfolio Tracker

I found the best tracker is an excel spreadsheet. That way you get the information you want in the form you want it.

If you are a day trader with a persistent edge, are you a millionaire yet?

I looked up mosaic trading. My simple version is that you dig deeper into information that the public has access to and find stuff that the public may not be aware of yet that will move the stock price. You use that information to your advantage. Your research allows you to uncover insider...

I'm easily confused. That's why I try and keep it as simple as possible.
