At least for a couple more days. :) I've often said I'd rather be in cash when the market went up than be in stocks as the market goes down. Practicing patience can be difficult.

I suggest you become a buy and hold investor. Throw out your charts and start learning to analyze fundamentals.

Ever consider scaling out?

I have no idea. I'll have to wait for the talking heads to come up with a plausible explanation. I only know that it broke support. The earnings announcement should have moved the stock up and it didn't. I was planning to take a position if it broke out but luckily it fell short.

WTF!! Wasn't That Fun. Don't feel bad. I sold 5 positions this morning because they had hit their stops. I consider them all good trades because I followed my plan. Now I have a fistfull of cash for when the next opportunity presents itself.

We're saying the same thing. Moving sales is more manipulating than falsifying. The sales happened. The accounting industry is self regulated and GAAP is close to legal fraud. The take away is you can never be absolutely sure, have a method of contolling your risk!!

I have to assume that anything you buy is priced in fiat. So when you pull out your crypto debit card what is the process. Does the merchant get paid in fiat? How and when is the crypto converted? If you hold more than one crypto, which one gets converted? Or do you have fiat in your account...

How many different crypto would you have in an account? Who chooses which one you spend? My fiat debit card allows me to tap and the money is moved from my account to the merchants. The card charges the merchant a fee. What happens with a crypto card?

How does that work. Do you choose crypto (which crypto?) or dollars at purchase time. No fees but what about bid ask spread? When is conversion done to fiat? (time of purchase or EOD?)

How does a crypto debit card work? You go out to a restaurant and the bill comes to 100 bucks. Once you tap your card, what is the process that takes place?

How do you falsify data? Outright lies eventually come to light. That's fraud. Accountants are paid the big bucks to manipulate accurate data.

They are beating but guiding lower. Interest rates, inflation and throw in a war or two and you have uncertainty.

I would think that computers have reduced that to several minutes and that results can be manipulated in seconds.

The trick is to manipulate the earnings to show the numbers you want everyone to see. It's called Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Only your accountant knows for sure.

As a trader I've learned not to let the fundamentals bias what I see on the chart. Price is determined by how investors perceive the fundamentals. I trust that the institutions who pay a lot of people a lot of money to disect all the data available are seeing something that we are not seeing...

Well the other side of the coin is you can get off the grid and still have some of the comforts of home. I'm too old to sleep on the ground anymore.
