    Hotspotfx.com, a helluva trading

I'm a private person who doesn't like talking about pnl but I'll make an exception in this case. 2003 is still shiny and new ....and my pnl is already twice what shortboy made in all of 2002 (even including his interest income). But that is neither here or there. The only reason I bug you is...

Hunt the Boeing! And test your perceptions!

wild, thanks for those links. That is the little movie I referred to. This may very well go down in history as a totally unexplainable event (like JFK assasination). We may very well never know what really happened or answer all the questions.

    Hotspotfx.com, a helluva trading

Yeah its really tough watching the grass grow and collecting that interest. Then turning around and saying it was trading! :p ps Tony Oz already proved that his returns are doctored (better go back to elementary school to brush up on math).

    Hotspotfx.com, a helluva trading

Yeah Vinny you sure can pick winners! By the way, its interesting that shortboy your favourite target of cheerleading made $3965 in 2002 "trading" on the short side. But then $1850 of that came from the interest he collected. That's 47% of his "return" coming from collecting interest. Do...

    Arne Alsin's 2002 Turnaround Portfolio

In a bear market your shorts are investments and your longs are trades. In a bull market, the opposite is true. This part is easy. Identifying which we happen to be in is the doozy!!

Hunt the Boeing! And test your perceptions!

Josh, I don't know what to say. I first saw those pictures around the end of 2001 and my jaw dropped. I have shown similar sites/pictures to friends and family and no one can explain it. I don't think you need to be an engineer to do so. We all saw the devestating effect a loaded airplane...

    Security: beware of BlackIce Defender

actually the thread is about retail firewalls (not industrial strength ones sold by checkpoint for example) And grc (as usual) is totally on the ball on this. Black Ice is a piece of crap. Especially when you compare it to a FREE firewall such as Tiny or ZA.

As if we need another reason...

    Interesting article re new scientific research. Aphex may now use the new seduction line: "Ohh, c'mon! pleeeeaaase!...its good for your brain." http://www.nationalpost.com/home/story.html?id={F4679CF7-B0F2-4374-A594-467FFE4E5219}

Thanks for the link (interesting site) Unfortunately I didn't find what I was looking for. They have really minute data (intra-day) but I'm simply looking for EOD data. Still looking

Need help and recommandations from Canadian traders -

I would strongly urge against Tradefreedom. IB on the other hand is an incredible powerhouse of a broker for those starting out. Just my opinion!

Deflation? Inflation? You be the judge!

I found this really neat little article while prowling the web. It is from a small boutique research firm in Canada. They only do research (no investment banking, trading or other activities in the market). http://www.eresearch.ca/data/showReidReport.asp?reidReportID=38 Pay special...

    Gold Stocks ETF?

There is such an ETF going through the regulatory hoops right now. No word as of yet when it will be out. But in essence it will make buying/selling and hedging gold as easy as SPY or QQQ (theoretically). Watch Thom Calandra's articles on www.marketwatch.com for potential updates.

    gold & silver sector

GATA also has repeatedly pointed out that 'they' keep gold's rise at $2 or below a day so that it won't make headlines. Can you imagine if gold jumped by say $11 in one or two days?!! It would be all over the papers and everyone would be talking about it. So better is it for 'them' to have a...

    Jeff Cooper off RealMoney

They just closed it again. But I spent a few hours leisurely reading some past RM Pro articles and for the most part it was ho-hum. But on the bright side I did find out who 'vishnu' is and read some of his articles. He's a pretty bright guy! (just as you would suspect from his postings on...
