    Credit Cards

Since even a cursory understanding of the credit card industry (or any finance or banking industry) would reveal that it would be impossible to run a credit card company if you destroyed all records after a month, you clearly haven't even the faintest idea of what you're talking about. There...

    Credit Cards

You are missing some important logic circuits there my friend. You claim that credit card companies are selling purchase data. Simply because they could sell the data in no way means they are selling that data. Your assertion that they are is simply incorrect, absent some backing which you are...

    Credit Cards

Still waiting for you to prove this one, see my earlier post. Like I said, I know a bit about this and know of no way to purchase a credit or debit card user's purchase history. I think your tilting at phantoms of your imagination here.

    Trading SPY vs S&P Futures

Just to reemphasize what Robert said, the wider bid ask on the futures doesn't reflect what you can actually trade at. You can almost always get a limit instantly filled at a nickel off the true mid. So unless you have a strategy that requires market orders you get very comparable actual fills.

Quitting day job to collect weekly premiums - realistic?

ironchef, Based on your posts I think you'd really enjoy a finance 101/202 course. They offer MOOCs for free at many great schools (this one is taught by Robert Schiller, for example https://www.coursera.org/learn/financial-markets). Like you I had backed into the concepts from my...

    Credit Cards

Did you mean "don't have a miles reward card"? Just so you know, you pay no interest if you pay your balance in full each month. And there are free miles cards, even if you pay $45.00/year as an annual fee, if you redeem for business class you can easily see $.05-$.07/mile I'm value so you'll...

Explosion of inflation under way - Are you ready Gary Cohn, Mnuchin and Ross?

Gotta love people who complain that we don't have good people working for the government, then advocate we arbitrarily fire a random percentage, cut pay and double work for the rest, and then wonders again why quality people aren't attracted to government jobs! Let's start with the military...

You could have traveled a lot more or at least in business class if you'd put all your charges on a miles earning credit card!

France’s AMF advises traders to immediately close accounts with Banc De Binary

They don't have such a product, and as a CFTC regulated exchange they wouldn't ever have such a product since they need to be trading a commodity or dirivative of a commodity. For some history look at the difficulty their predecesor, HedgeStreet, had listing event binaries. What was your point...

France’s AMF advises traders to immediately close accounts with Banc De Binary

Not saying they're useful, CantorExchange has no volume and there are some issues with Nadex, but at least they won't take your money!

France’s AMF advises traders to immediately close accounts with Banc De Binary

Well Nadex isn't a scam, CFTC regulated. Neither is CantorExchange, also CFTC regulated.

    Credit Cards

Just to be clear you're talking about loyalty cards, not credit cards? The loyalty cards where you explicitly give the store access to your buying habits in exchange for discounts or rewards? This should neither be a surprise or generate any outrage, the users of those cards simply entered into...

Where could I as a business go to purchase this data? I work pretty extensively with pulling credit reports and credit scores and have never heard of the ability to pull lifetime, or any, purchase info.

CME doesn't know what an option is

Look at it from the perspective of the option sellers, most of whom are using the options as part of a bigger strategy. Not knowing until the next day if the option you sold was exercised, even when it expired ITM, makes it impossible to hedge your exposure and makes those options significantly...

Trump Gives Green Light To Keystone, Dakota Access Pipelines

"When it's profitable to do so" is the key. Flooding the market with more oil depresses the price further, hence we get further away from "when it's profitable to do so". There aren't any small fracking "Chuck with a truck" operations that can make money with these prices let alone lower ones...

IB increases Over night Initial margin for ES

Read all the guy's posts over the last month, he's gone full on troll. I blocked him after he came on a thread where we were discussing the best island in Hawaii to live (where I lived for 3 years and he apparently visited for 3 weeks) and within a couple posts was accusing me of being some kind...

Return of Prop Trading - Impact on Market Opportunities?

I think banks were getting out of it anyway before the rule. Probably too much uncertainty to stand back up only to have it potentially reinstated in 2 or 4 years.

CME doesn't know what an option is

You may be right on that, I've never tried. Are you thinking pin risk issues?

CME doesn't know what an option is

You can do that. I think the OP is arguing that they should be able to not exercise an ITM option.
