    A 70k bet that I can't make a 50% gain in 2009

I hope it hurt when my dog bit you! I attached a chart, because I'm nice and sitting here eating, since my vintage IBM keyboard doesn't yet contain enough particles to constitute a full serving of Trader's Trail Mix when turned over and shaken :p

geez, if you have a highlight trade of the day, let me know before close and I'll post the chart with your entry/exit. On days when I am not too lazy to post charts, that is. Often the dog and the ball and the park exert a massive pull upon me before I can take the time to do a chart...

Hermit :p +$346 Day +$4959 Month +$20194 Quarter Offered 36.50 HANS on open, touched but no fill, dropped like a rock, didn’t chase. Was actually watching DRI for a long (seriously, a long; and my palms did not sweat) as it hit the lo ticker all morning. Looking for higher low...

+$346 Day +$4959 Month +$20194 Quarter Two days in a row of solid discipline, though I left money ALL over the table with MYGN. Bob, astounding quarter! Here's to BIG GREEN in Q2, guys!

Geez, I think posting your charts would be fantastic! I just cut and paste mine into Photoshop and add text. As for bashing: Starting this week three experienced traders stand over my shoulder every day and I know I have to explain my decisions to them, so that's keeping me from doing as many...

Still Can't get it Right. I think its completely Subconciously

Why, he's the author of the most "no-frills" trading journal ever written (http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=149664)!

Still Can't get it Right. I think its completely Subconciously

Flash, I have to think this is a common problem. Psychologically, it's the missed opportunity, and the desire to go back in time and put on the trade with the proper entry. But that's impossible. Yet you put on the trade at a poor entry point, because you want to make something happen right now...

I appreciate the compliment, Jack. If I had twice my account size, I would still have to use 80% of the resulting day trading margin to trade that size EBAY, and I can't think of any reason for doing that, except to take advantage of a quick news-based trade (such as back on 8/18 when AMLN...

Geez, I can't believe you call yourself a trader! You need to place your stops .05 cents further out!

Once I can exercise absolute discipline in my trading for a couple of weeks, I will consider increasing my position size. Part of that discipline includes taking ALL my setups, not just short trades, not just 2 or 3 stocks. I'll get there :)

    NoDoji's Day Trading Log

    - $88 My goal for today was to take my setups and stick with my plans. I did not take more than a small portion of my setups, but did fairly well with discipline on my trades. Short CECO @ 24.45, overbought, SPY overbought, failure to make a new high. Stop @ HOD, covered @ 24.30 just as it...

The key word here is "posting" :D I'd love to see Mr. 200K call his trades in real time. Great advice, Geez!

QT, I would highly recommend all three books. I had just learned about candlesticks prior to the Velez webinar, but the webinar clarified my understanding hugely, helping me learn to read price action and crowd sentiment through candlesticks in real time. I can't emphasize real time enough...

Daytrading leads to Inevitable Failure? Is Swing Trading the only Viable Path?

Great way to word it, Pabst, "compelling". A trade should compel you. Those are my high probability trades and they work favorably 90% of the time. It's the lukewarm setups that always contain the losers, so why even bother with them? Nice article, too!

    NoDoji's Day Trading Log

QT, Here's my self-education in chronological order and it includes the most valuable books I've read: Feb-Apr 2008: Unemployed after sale of business, stumble into the idea of trading stocks to make money and have several successful swing trades, followed by some big draw downs that "come...

    NoDoji's Day Trading Log

I received an inquiry today that got me thinking (it's OK for traders to think on weekends; just be careful about too much thinking while trading) and I want to post it and my reply because it helped me consolidate my plan for the coming week. *************** Q. I was wondering if you use...
