Lost some $ in the YM today. Went long at 9459, added at 9451, added at 9440, exited at 9444. I wasn't following my rules this afternoon so I probably deserved this :( Had a doctor's appt in the afternoon and figured I'd scalp for a few pts before I headed out and ended up losing...oh well...

Yea, same here. With my real$ account, I actually shorted YM at 9483. Doubled position at 9492, but exited with a scratch at 9487. -FastTrader

You're right, that really does have a negative effect on my trading. I haven't tried using stop and target orders to get me out of trade yet. I might try that on a simulator tomorrow. Use a 30 pt stop loss, and a 60 pt target so 1:2 R/R. Let see how it does on the simulator. If I have a good...

Why do people post these questions here rather than contacting IB directly? Personally, I've NEVER had a problem with IB's account management. One little bug they do have is, the account management is run under SSL, but the IB header image is coming from a non-secure connection so when I run...

Some of the better books I've read on trading are dated before 2001 so date of publication isn't a very good way to rate a book when it comes to trading. -FastTrader
