    Slowness Really Hurts Us

What O/S are you using? My system is a bit slower than yours and has two video cards (1 dual-head, 1 single) for triple screens and I still don't experience any speed problems. I'm running Win XP Pro. -FastTrader

Best way to creat a "WATCH LIST"?

I would recommend getting TCNet. It costs $99/month but is worth it since it has so many features all in one app; scanning; charting, real-time sorts, etc. Trading is a business, and to be successful you have to be willing to incur some normal business expenses. -FastTrader

    EuroStoxx 50 Trading

Extra clicks, plus commission to convert the currency from EUR to USD. It's not really a big deal, but something to keep in mind. If I were trading ESTX50, I wouldn't convert it back to USD until there was a sufficient amount to be converted over. Here's a link to IB's FX fees page...

    EuroStoxx 50 Trading

Have you talked to them on how the currency conversion works? Last time I checked, I was told an instant margin loan is created in Euro and the cash in the dollar acct is used as colateral. Then, to convert it back to USD, I would have to use IB's IDEAL currency exchange and exchange the Euros...

    Damir's Trading Journal

I don't know what size you trade; and I think we agreed it doesn't matter and wouldn't be discussed; but I am interested in knowing what % of your account you risk on each position. By that I mean, what percent of your account are you willing to lose on each position (position would be defined...

If you're trading small size, I would stay away from NYSE. All of my bad fills have been on NYSE. Nasdaq is an instant fill. -FastTrader

Damir, what's your exit strategy on this play? Seems like everyone on this journal kept shorting into strength. Do you ever completely reverse your position? At what point is the position taken off with a loss? Thanks. -FastTrader

I also shorted YM at 9568 but covered @ 9560, which was probably too soon but I had to leave for work. Overall, it could have been a GREAT day for me, but turned out to be just a good day. I was also long on NQ @ 1372, but exited at 1374....it later ran up to 1386+. I was long on YM this...
