satchel and anyone else hoping for hell -- do you think the 56-59 area will provide a problem for shorts? We balanced all day, built value there, and then moved up out of that. Not necessarily an easy task to go south through that now. What do you think?

Not impressed with the buyers here at 56 yet

Really, you'd rather see new highs for the day before selling? I would think that may trigger new buyers and steamroll the sellers. IB high at 59 held just now, good place to hold for shorts IMO. EDIT: and when did hell change its address?? :D I guess it wanted to be in the 1200 block...?

fake break below, then break out of the other end of the range, and consolidation, holding above POC at 56 means long for me; though it's struggling mightily. I just don't see it going back to 54 before it goes up

very balanced so far, a move out of balance could be explosive -- hard to say given time of day and lackluster volume. http://screencast.com/t/QUDLE9sjnv2 EDIT: just saw what you wrote satchel, same idea different words :) enjoy your lunch ;)

looking to sell EDIT still think it's going down, but not really looking to sell until some volume comes in.. quite dead at the moment.

No tricks, nothing anyone else can't see on their chart. I've already mentioned this stuff before anyway, yesterday in fact. Should have held onto the 55 long just now, could have gotten maybe a handle instead of a tick.

The question is, how do you define strength? You are waiting for a big up bar before going long. Is a big up bar strength? Different people will answer differently...

I'm trying to get away from 1 point stops, but in these trades, 6 ticks or so was all I really needed to find out if it would work or not. I'd rather be using 8 or 12 ticks, and going for 4-6 points or more, but sometimes you have to take what you can get, and I'd rather have 8 trades in a day...

possibly true, but I must trade what I see. 1 tick failed breakout, volume enters at 57 and it immediately goes back down, below 50% ... will just have to re-enter long if it goes up. but trying to take profit where i see it. I've had too many days spoiled recently because my hope kept me in...

out 56.25 for +1.25 ... did not expect it to stop as it did at 57... oh well better than nothing.

on those trades, not very often recently, though have had that happen quite a bit before-- on the ones where i use 3 point or so stop, i have a tendency to move it too quickly and then get stopped out.
