This excuse does not hold water. I created a simple program that reads line from my platform's log file and instantaneously posts the trade to twitter, so from fill to notification it's about 3-5 seconds. Only in the sub-5-second trade realm does the above hold.

Any of you ladies or gents trading today? I absolutely love this action.. it's relatively predictable, movement is not a lot but pretty smooth. Compare this to the slow chop we saw some days last week.. I've only taken 2 trades and will probably quit while I'm ahead.

If a transaction occurs in the market, it's part of the whole, and part of the information the market generates. What you call "noise" is simply a subset of the larger picture. All you need to do is zoom out.

Ah, maybe you're using TPOs ... or perhaps you're not talking about today's values, as 88.10 is lower than the low of the session ... for globex, as of this moment, VAL is 88.21, VAH is 89.26, and VPOC is 89.00 (using a "normal" calculation). Actually just looked at the TPO, instead of volume...

I think you mean VAL. .80 was a great buy.. this week's and last two day's VPOC, yday's close, and yday's vwap. However, we may get down to .60, will see. To me, if we get there though, I'm not as bullish anymore. That would put us below today's VPOC and VWAP, as well as below last two...
