    Well, the vol tells you that you found a nest of stops -- the low range of the bar, the fact that price didn't go very far, tells you that you found offers to hold it :)

    Of course you would expect a spike at the high or low of the day, regardless of whether there is to be continuation or reversal. The key is the range of the bar. Effort vs. result. In this case, large effort, little result, compared to the previous 5 minutes of activity...

    I have seen over and over that price may not move a lot in that time period, but it appears to often offer a great opportunity to position oneself for moves which happen later.

    I find again that it's toughest for me when the trade is in my favor, hard to let it run for fear of losing what is already there. Not a 1m bar low broken in the last 16 minutes -- even trailing the lows here would have yielded twice the profit already.
