    Trading to meet daily targets

That is terrific QT. As I recall marathon runners have a certain shelf life.

    Trading to meet daily targets

Profits come from your lot size. Net positive tics per day are simply the vehicle by which you drive your account. This is but one style of trading and it is the one that makes good sense of setting daily net tic targets, since it relies on daily consistency.

Why do people use Volume, Range and Tic charts?

" Now you are entering into the ET spirit Surf. Here we have a wonderful collective group of souls all with differing points of view, differing rational processes, widely varying reading skills and abilities as so ablely demonstrated by your interpretation of my second paragraph and indeed...

Why do people use Volume, Range and Tic charts?

This the part of ET that I just love and find very interesting. That notion "this is where you are very wrong" implies that the author is indeed very right. The only two things that we all know on ET are the Username and time of posting. The time of posting does in no way verify the time...

    ES Journal Archive (2006 - 2008)

'Trend' is probably the most used and least understood word on ET. In order to throw the word 'trend' about it must always be coupled to a frame of reference ( daily, 400 lots, 3 min etc) Winning trades are always with the trend or should I say 'a trend' Stop and think about it for a...

What 1 or 2 things do you look at...to set-up for next day trading?

Yes I use capped volume bars, but I really have no idea what happened yesterday. I have gradually reduced my trading to as little input as possible.

What 1 or 2 things do you look at...to set-up for next day trading?

That is pretty much it except I dont care what time it is. The ES is making new levels or it is not and how much momentum is behind each thrust is of vital concern. I am not bright enough to monitor every thing else. I tried that once and I will leave it to others.

What 1 or 2 things do you look at...to set-up for next day trading?

I am with you T273. Only looking for momentum on ES pure and uncluttered. I hate bias it makes me biased. Just my .01

    Trading to meet daily targets

Yes I trade for a daily points target. It the sum of a series of small trades based on momentum in the ES morning session. Sometimes if the ES is going nowhere and is rolling between levels (my favorite type of day) I will continue trading ... not often though as I have other things to do...

How long did it take you to master the markets?

Two different statements. Making money consistently does not constitute mastery IMO. The day I declare myself a master is the day you can declare me mad.

    a question concerning price strategy

For all those traders watching HIGHS and LOWS forming on bars. Are you concerned with the volume of activity at the HIGH or LOW of a bar. Remember that you ( the trader) arbitrarily set the bar, not the market.

    "trade what you see" morons

A very reasonable explanation. Traders, sim or real will always trade what they see if they are staring at a chart for their source information. How can they not! The implication of this thread ( omitting 'moron') is that different people see different things, a bit like describing an...
